This is a short-term behind-the-wheel training position for individuals who have completed the classroom portion of CDE's curriculum for bus drivers, passed the DOT physical and drug screen, passed the written DMV and CHP examinations, and are eligible for behind-the-wheel training. California Driver's Record Report, FMCSA DOT Clearinghouse clearance are required.

Statement of Duties:

Riding bus routes, receiving behind-the-wheel training from a state-certified instructor, CPR, First Aid, and other training.

Requirements / Qualifications:

The following documents must be submitted with the application in order to be considered:

• High School diploma or Equivalent 
• Class B or Class A permit w/school bus and passenger endorsement
• Current medical certificate
• Current First Aid certification
• Current copy of driving record
• Three (3) Letters of Recommendation signed and dated within six (6) months

Employment is contingent upon drug screening, fingerprint clearance and TB Screening.
